SMITH
William Bakely Smith was born 1893 in Phil. PA. He enrolled in the NY Militia
in 1917 as William Blakely Watson. In 1919 he married Emma Jane Jones in
Delhi, NY and listed his name as William Bakely Smith. His father as George
Curtis Smith born in Camden, NJ. and mother as Louise Montangue or Montangeu.
William is my fathers oldest sibling. I would guess that George would have
been born about ca 1865-1870. They moved to Passiac County, Paterson, NJ. and
in 1895 had John Watson? seven more children were born. They listed themselves
as being born in NJ or NY. Not sure why the name changes could be divorce,
death or running away from something. Every document I have lists the mother
with a different name. Montangue, Montanel, Wilson, Smith, Watson Hyzer. First
names Laura, Louisa, Louise, Emily Louise. Fathers names George Curtis Smith,
John Smith, John Watson. Also have been told that their real name was Marples.
One of the children listed his name when he got married as Edgar Oliver
Constable Smith Watson. His birth certificate says his name is Edward
Constibel Smith. I could really use some help.

I live in Texas & we are looking for information on my husband's family.
Thought I'd check & see if what little we have might ring a bell. My
husband, John T. "Jack" Williams was born in Audubon, NJ in 1930.
His father was John "Jack" Frank Williams born, we think in Audubon,
1909 or 1910 died in Texas in 1962. His mother was Julia L. Taylor born in
1909 in Philadelphia, died in Texas. John Franks parents were Ralph ? Williams
(no bd as yet) died in 1939 in Brooklyn Naval Hospital. He still lived in
Audubon. His wife was Bessie Hull Williams. They lived on Maple Avenue until
her death in about 1943. My husband remembers the family story that when
Ralph's mother was pregnant with him the rest of the family was lost at sea
around Cape May. Their family hauled coal & lumber around Cape May. Thanks

Then, Archilbald dies abt. 1882, in Camden, NJ. This last info is not
