Joseph Routier, saloon, Ashland, was born in Montreal, Canada, March 15, 1850. He came to Grand Rapids, Wis., in 1867, and went to lumbering, where he staid until 1873, when he came to Wausau. He came to Ashland in August, 1881. In 1881 he opened his present business. In 1867, he married Miss Roy, of Wausau. They have two children, Nellie and Willie.
